Progressive Intensive Intervention Program (PIIP)
Unlock your child’s potential in 2 days of intensive program.
PIIP is an intensive two-day APM intervention designed to identify the child’s programming needs, provide recommendations for ongoing treatment and support and begin the process of intervention. Every child is different and their program will be designed to address their individual needs. The program will begin by addressing those behaviors that interfere with the learning process and teaching the child these essential and prerequisite “learning how to learn” skills.
Our PIIP Consultants
Dr. Raymond Fung holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Bristol, a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from St. Cloud State University. His doctoral thesis explored Progressive ABA, Autism and Technology. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has been teaching individuals with autism and training professionals for over 20 years.
Dr. Raymond Fung has been receiving ongoing training from Dr. Ron Leaf, Dr. John McEachin and their associates since he joined Autism Partnership (AP) Hong Kong in 2000. Since 2005, he has trained more than 500 behavioral therapists internationally. In 2007, he participated in the curriculum development for AP School, the first and only primary school for autistic students in Hong Kong. In 2014, he developed 6 mobile applications for individuals with autism. In 2016, he created a school-based social skill program for local secondary students. In 2018, he hosted a radio program on RTHK with a group of adults with high functioning autism. Currently, he is the training director of AP Hong Kong, and the voluntary consultant of AP Foundation. In 2023, he published his book “Teaching Children with Autism”. He consults in China, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Korea, South Africa, and Russia. Previously, he was the clinical director of 2 AP international offices, the conference chair of Hong Kong Association for Behaivor Analysis, and a part-time lecturer of a master program in autism in Hong Kong Metropolitan University.
Ms. Lai-Kan Wong is a Certified Progressive Behavior Analyst (Autism Professional), a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and holds a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. She embarked on her journey with Autism Partnership in 2001. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience working with children across different settings, including individual therapy sessions, small group training, and ABA classrooms. Ms. Wong is now responsible for overseeing Autism Partnership centers in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai, and she provides clinical support to consultants in different offices.
Mr. Frederick Chan is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Criminology) degree from University of Melbourne, Australia, Master of Social Science from University of Hong Kong and Master of Education in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College.
He has experience in working with children in both one-on-one therapy sessions, groups and school shadowing. Fred has also participated in Train the Trainer, Parent Training, Overseas training and public talks. He is also an active member in supporting the development of our AP Sparks Resources platform.
Dr. David Fischer received a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University, USA, advised by Dr. Sandra Harris. Since 1999, he was worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and with individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability. He completed his pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Marcus Institute in Atlanta, Georgia working in the severe behavior unit, short-term-out-patient clinic, feeding disorders unit, and early intervention clinic. From 2007 – 2011, he trained public school teachers to instruct and manage the behavior of their students diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder. He also was the clinical coordinator of the Asperger’s College Program, which provides support services to Rutgers students diagnosed with Asperger’s Disorder.
Renee Pang holds a Master of Education in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Monash University, Australia. She joined Autism Partnership, Singapore, in 2010 and worked with children on both one-on-one and group settings and provided shadow-aide support in mainstream schools. In 2013, Renee became a Program Supervisor where she worked on designing and tailoring curriculum for the child’s needs under the supervision of the consultants. Additionally, she also ran social groups in mainstream schools and collaborated with teachers and principals to devise integration plans. Renee also provides staff and parent training sessions locally and overseas. She is also fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Since 2019, Renee currently works with Autism Partnership, Hong Kong, to provide consultation, parent training, and staff training for clients in Shanghai.
Ms. Jane Lai is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and holds a Master of Education in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology from The University of Hong Kong. She has experience in working with children in both one-on-one and group settings, social groups and school shadowing. Her responsibilities also include Parent Training, Train the Trainer and Jumpstart Programs for both local and international families. She is also an active member in supporting the development of our APSPARKS Resources platform.
Ms. June Tam holds a Master of Social Sciences in Psychology of Education from City University of Hong Kong. She has over 13 years of experience working with children with ASD across different settings including individual therapy session and group training. In 2007, Ms Tam took up the role as a Lead Teacher in AP School. For the past 8 years in AP School, she helped students learning in a big group setting and implementing individualized programs in both Chinese and English speaking classes. Her professional experiences include designing Individualized Education Plan (IEP), supervising cases and providing training to parents.
Ms. Christy Lai is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from St. Cloud State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Ms. Lai joined Autism Partnership (AP) in 2011 and she has extensive experience in working with children with ASD. Ms. Christy Lai currently take lead of the case supervision in the new established AP Beijing center. At the same time, she oversees the Little Learners program in Hong Kong and Shanghai and consults families in Asia. She directs overseas training to staff in the Train the Trainer program and provides parent education to families with children with ASD. She also conducts Jumpstart and PIIP programs locally and internationally. In additions, she is keen to take part in overseas ASD conferences and take lead of the design and production of AP teaching materials. Moreover, she helps with producing ABA training videos and articles in the APSPARKS website for public education.
Ms Sanna Kontinen is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and holds a Master’s Degree in Language and Communication Impairment in Children from the UK’s University of Sheffield.
Ms Sanna began working in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) in 2000 whilst studying Psychology at UCL in London, and subsequently supervised the therapy programmes of students in Perth and Dubai, and continues gaining extensive experience in the UK, Australia and UAE before joining Autism Partnership in 2018. She has extensive experience working with children and teenagers with autism in one-on-one and group settings; parent and staff education training; and designing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students transitioning to mainstream schools. She has also conducted training workshops for teachers and education professionals.
Mr. Justin Cho is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Masters of Applied Disability Studies in ABA from Brock University, Canada. He joined Autism Partnership in 2009 and has accumulated many years of experience in working directly with children of ASD in one-on-one, social groups, school shadow and Little Learners.
In 2016, Justin joined AP School as Class Lead Therapist, and was responsible for designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and parent meetings.
In 2017, Justin returned AP as a Behavioral consultant, providing intensive supervision for cases in Specialized Program. In addition, he has involved in providing hand-on training for parent training and staff training in overseas countries, including Russia and China.
Now a behavioral consultant in AP Beijing center, Justin continues to provide quality intensive supervision, staff training and family support for Beijing families.
Ms. Smitty Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Science and Human Development from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She has experience in working with children in both one-on-one therapy sessions and group settings. Smitty has also provided shadow-aide support for children in mainstream schools and collaborating well with the school and family. Additionally, she has also conducted Parent Training, Train the Trainer and Jumpstart Programs for both local and international families. She is also an active member in supporting the development of our AP Sparks Resources platform.
Mr. Ambrose Cheung is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Education in Endicott College and a Bachelor of Psychology with Honors from the University of Sydney, Australia. Mr. Cheung is experienced in providing one-on-one therapy and group sessions to individuals with ASD.
Ms. Winkie Ng is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Education in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College. Ms. Ng is experienced in providing one-on-one therapy, group sessions, parent training in Accelerate Program. Winkie is also responsible in providing overseas therapy, shadowing for kindergarten schools. In addition, Ms. Ng has been involving in the Train the Trainer Program and conducting Jumpstart Program. Since 2020, she has been supporting AP Training Director, Raymond Fung, to design individualized programs, supervise cases and train new clinical staff in Sparks training program. She also partakes in the production of ABA training videos and materials for AP’s ABA resource platform. Currently, she receives ongoing training from Dr. Angel Au (Clinical Psychologists) and Mr. Toby Mountjoy (AP Director).
At the conclusion of the two days, AP will provide recommendations regarding the follow-up intervention and may offer the following options:
Option 1:
- A staff from Autism Partnership’s office will relocate and provide ongoing treatment.
Option 2:
- Autism Partnership will train the local staff to provide ongoing treatment and will provide ongoing support and super vision to the family.
